32 weeks

How far along? 32 weeks
Baby's size? still about 16.5 inches, 3 13/4 lbs.  The size of a squash or large jimaca.
Total weight gain: 33 lbs

Maternity clothes? Yep!
Sleep: Had some trouble falling asleep this week- just too many things on my mind!  Turns out reading the scriptures helps calm this pregnant lady down :o)
Best moment(s) this past week: Getting so much done on the baby room (yay for in-law's help!). Swimming!  Another great birthing class- we're ready a little more prepared to push this baby out! :o)
Miss Anything?  Gooey eggs!  Love me some over easy eggs, but baby diet says I have to eat it thoroughly cooked :o(
Movement: Yes!  Sometimes is really violent and make my whole stomach move.  More and more, it's just him hanging out really high (so it's hard to breath) or really low (so it feels like my pants are pinching me).  I just keep telling myself that movement is good, even if it hurts me :o)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing really this week.
Cravings: Today was chocolate and Ninja Turtle mac and cheese- I think I'll be a pretty good mommy for a little boy :o)
Labor Signs: I think I had some Braxton Hicks this week, just a couple of times (literally, 2 times that I can remember...)  Just a tight squeezing in my belly, not enough to hurt, just enough to think, "hey, that was weird".
Gender: BOY!
Symptoms: Getting sore in other parts... it feels like I've been riding a horse and I'm sore, you know, in that region.  At the birthing class, the nurse said that it would be common the weeks before delivery.  And as I'm 8 weeks out, it's about the right time.  So yay!  I'm learning to be a cowgirl without the horse! :o)
Belly Button in or out? Both!  Normally, it's still in.  But the other night when I was laying down with my feet propped up, I reached to adjust my feet pillows, and POP!  It just came out!  When I laid back down (quickly since the whole situation weirded me out), my belly button went right back in.  Nathan thought it was pretty cool; I cried over how ugly it looked.  Good times :o)
Wedding rings on or off? Off.
Happy or Moody most of the time: A nice combination of both, sometimes in the same day and within hours.  Man, it's like this baby has changed the chemicals in my body!  :o)
Looking forward to: Swimming!  Getting a massage (didn't have time last week)!!  School being in session (my work went from 30 therapy sessions down to 20 a week with kiddos going back to school- yay for more time to rest and prep for baby!)

31 weeks with dinosaurs!

Posing next to our practice dinosaur decal for the baby room- so cute!

How far along? 31 weeks
Baby's size? over 16 inches (? so like 16.5?), 3 1/2 lbs.  He weighs about as much as a coconut!
Total weight gain: 32 lbs- just 2 additional pounds, I can deal with that!
Maternity clothes? Of course, but I'm so looking forward to September!  I have a couple cute shirts I want to wear for the month of cool (below 100 degrees... :o) before my little boy arrives.  Though I love them enough to totally wear them for the months after birth before I fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes.
Sleep: Pretty good- it's getting harder to get comfortable when I first lie down.

Best moment(s) this past week: Having my therapy kiddos be super sweet- one ran up to me, hugged and kissed my belly, and said, "tu bebe, so cute!" (bilingual kiddos that's picking up phrases from older siblings in English :o)  Also been enjoying the company and help of my in-laws and actually enjoyed my first birthing class.

Miss Anything?  Having energy!  I've been quite tired this week and maybe ought to be going to bed at 9 pm like my body is telling me...

Movement: Yep!  He's starting to move more and more during the day as well as his regular night time movement.  Nathan is extra concerned that the baby will get tangled with all the movement, but I keep reminding him that movement is a good thing!  Although sometimes not comfortable for me...

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just brushing teeth, but the extra mucus in my nose/ throat in the mornings isn't helping either...

Cravings: Today was chocolate and Ninja Turtle mac and cheese- I think I'll be a pretty good mommy for a little boy :o)

Labor Signs: Apparently, the pain I've been having wasn't Braxton Hicks, but some sort of ligament pain (going bug my doctor about it this week at my appt).  So, I guess I haven't felt any false or real contractions yet.  I'm going to pay more attention this week because apparently I should be having some Braxton Hicks by now to get things moving, but may not be noticing them yet.

Gender: BOY!
Symptoms: Baby hiccups!  I know, I know, just another good sign that my little boy is healthy and well.  But man do they drive me crazy!  Little, rhythmic movement for about 5 minutes, over and over, and I can't stop it!  It's like those kids in high school that would jiggle their foot on the book rest under your desk, so your desk would jiggle.  And he gets them at least once a day!  Guess I'm just learning patience already... :o)

Belly Button in or out? Still in but getting close to leveling off...
Wedding rings on or off? Off still, and my pretty replacement ring got pretty tight this week too!  It's HOT in Texas!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy, but moodiness when I'm tired or in pain (some days it's even harder to walk with the hip and weird ligament pain :o(
Looking forward to: Swimming! (every week is a swim week right now...) More family time with the in-laws, getting a massage (my poor muscles!), and maybe going to an animal shelter- I need to snuggle some kitties :o)

Back online with week 30

We're back!  After a couple weeks of crazy (work, family reunion, and saying goodbye to my kitty...), I've found time again to have fun documenting the THIRD trimester!  Yay!

How far along? 30 weeks
Baby's size? 15-16 inches, 3 lbs.  As long as a cucumber, or the size of a large cabbage.  Apparently he'll be gaining 1/2 lb a week from now out!  Wow!  Think my belly is big now, just you wait! :o)
Total weight gain: Still at 30 lbs, no complaints about maintaining and Ms. Doctor didn't comment on my weight at my appt this week :o)  But then again, she never does unless I ask...
Maternity clothes? Yep.  Got a new dress for church though, so I feel better at church with another option. I only had 2 dress/ skirt options for the last couple weeks, which if you know me at all, was really hard for me.  Thank goodness for the Loft outlet nearby, extra large sizes, and tax free weekend :o)
Sleep: Great!  It's nice to be home in my comfy bed and body pillow!  Nathan has been complaining that I snore more these days, so I must be getting enough sleep :o)

Best moment(s) this past week: This week has not been my favorite, but I did have a wonderful trip to Idaho and Yellowstone with my family.  I got to see some wonderful cousins (some that I haven't seen in a long time), see/meet their growing families, go berry picking, visit and unplug at a beautiful national park (and made much better memories than the last time we went... so so cold in the winter on snow mobiles... :o), see real live bison, catch up with old friends, and enjoy seeing how well my sweet husband fits in with the extended family (they're pretty laid back, but it's just nice to see everyone getting to know him :o)

Miss Anything?  Getting up like a normal person!  It's hard to even get up from sitting and super uncomfortable to walk for a couple minutes after changing positions.

Movement: Yes and yes!  He dances/ practices kung fu during the day as well as during bedtime.  We put a little book on my tummy one night, so Nathan could see all the wiggles (idea from the in-laws).  Nathan's wide eyes and the book vibrating like crazy made my night!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still just the occasional toothbrush experience.

Cravings: Macaroni and Cheese!  But the spirals or shapes, not the normal noodles.  And store brand and Kraft are equally good- but they have to be dinosaurs or teenage mutant ninja turtles...

Labor Signs: K, people, Braxton Hicks (false labor pains) are very much my enemy these days.  So random, and so unpleasant! It's like someone stabbing you with a little knife for just a few seconds.  Not terribly painful (I mean, compared to what real labor will be like), but definitely not on my top favorite things about being pregnant list.

Gender: BOY!
Symptoms: This week our favorite symptom is the emotional roller coaster ride!  Mind you, it's been terribly hard with losing my kitty this week (had to happen when I was pregnant...), but I've also had the feels when listening to cute kids sing at church and when watching a you tube video.  Or when I was just super duper tired.  Poor husband has a harder time predicting it now...

Belly Button in or out? In but just barely.  Nathan wants to take a picture when it's neither in or out :o)
Wedding rings on or off? Still off, but I tried it on today, and it fits my pinky just fine!  Gotta love the fingers swelling...
Happy or Moody most of the time: Just lots of feels...
Looking forward to: Going out to eat for Nathan's birthday, swimming, in-laws coming in town for a visit, and for school to start (I'm losing some speech therapy kiddos, so I won't be as busy at work!  Yay for slowing decreasing my caseload!)
